Pool Rules

IMPORTANT INFO FOR MEMBERS - LET’S KEEP THE POOLS SAFE AND CLEAN PLEASE READ AND REVIEW the following with family and guests:

All children under age 11 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Long Creek Club’s wading pool is for children under age 5. A parent or guardian must supervise their own children in this area AT ALL TIMES.
Disposable diapers are NOT allowed in the pools. Please use swim pants for any child capable of having an accident. Please take toddlers to the restroom frequently. Fecal accidents require the pool to be closed for Health Department procedures.
Please shower off before swimming, particularly if you have on thick lotion, noticeable dirt and/or grass on your feet. The less “garbage” we track in to the pools, the cleaner they will be!
No dunking, spitting, rough play, “chicken fights” or hanging on the ropes.
No alcoholic beverages or glass objects. Smoking is permitted – please use the ashtrays we provide.
No flotation devices are allowing in the diving well.
Large floats, play equipment or athletic balls are not allowed in the pools unless approved by Life Guard.
Proper, modest attire is required at all times.
Our public pay phone is for emergency use only. The phone number is 336.922.9930.
Ten minute breaks will be taken each hour. During these breaks, SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK! Please note that only adult members (age 18 and older) are permitted in the pool during these breaks.
Please be considerate and secure long hair in a swim cap, ponytail or bun while swimming.
NO RUNNING on the deck, on diving boards or in the building.
Diving is allowed in the deep end of the pool only. No dangerous or “stunt” diving is permitted.
Only 1 person at a time is allowed on the diving boards. Always wait until other swimmers have cleared the diving well before entering the water.
NO floatation devices are permitted in the diving area.
NO “super-soaker” water guns, rollerblades or skateboards are allowed on the deck.
Please monitor your children’s use of chewing gum or candy when swimming and jumping off the diving boards. This can easily cause choking, airway obstruction or serious injury in the water.
Please pick up all your items (including trash) from the pool deck and restrooms after your visit. Use provided trash cans and ashtrays.
Always remember to apply sunscreen a minimum of 15 minutes before entering the pool.
Parents must supervise their children at all times including play out on the grass. Be sure to enforce a margin of safety from moving cars, parking lot and the main road.
Report any broken or damaged equipment so that it can be repaired.
Guest fees: $3 (age 18 and under) $5 (adults; $15 maximum per family. Please see Phyllis, our Pool Manager, for an out-of-town guest pass if needed.
No trespassing after hours.
Shoes and shirts for men and cover-ups for women are required when visiting the Golf Club area & grill.
